Michael’s sister, Kathy, and Sherri came down over from Houston to celebrate with us. It was Kathy’s birthday the day of the wedding (Oct. 24), so now I’ll definitely remember her birthday. I celebrated my birthday that previous Tuesday on the 20th of October. 🙂

Hey, hija de mia, why is there no link to your wedding blog from your “Cindydyer.wordpress.com? Or is it there and I just can’t find it? I suspect the latter possibility.
Now for a bit of nit-picking (or as some in San Antonio for whom English is a second language might say), a bit of neet-peeking:
San Antonio is just a teeny-weeny-tiny-bit southwest of Houston (as opposed to due west of Houston), so it is only a teeny-weeny-tiny-bit south of Houston. It’s nowhere near south enough of Houston to refer to one traveling “down” to San Antonio from Houston. We in San Antonio use the term “over.” We travel “over” to Houston, and I suspect that those in Houston travel “over” to San Antonio. One would travel “down” from Houston to the Rio Grande Valley, of course, and “up” to Houston on the return trip.
I know, I know—I have far too much time on my hands.
